Fall festivities are just around the corner and Gahanna has an exciting season planned ahead. Whether you’re viewing pretty autumn leaves on one of our many trails or eating at one of our restaurants, check out the following activities below and fall in love with Gahanna. 

 

FALL HERBAL COCKTAIL TRAIL - SEPT. 1 - NOV. 30

The 2023 Fall Herbal Cocktail Trail kicks off Friday, September 1. Visit Gahanna, (the Gahanna Convention and Visitors Bureau), is thrilled to work with nine local establishments to feature nine NEW mouthwatering seasonal herb-infused cocktails worthy of the city's Herb Capital title!

Now through November, visit our partner establishments in the Herbal Cocktail Trail Passport, buy the featured cocktail, and receive a passport stamp. Once you’ve received at least six stamps, bring your passport to the Visit Gahanna Visitor Center (110 Mill Street, Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-4 p.m.) and redeem your passport for an Herbal Cocktail Coaster Set.

Pick-up the Spring & Summer Herbal Cocktail Trail Passport at any participating establishment, at the Visit Gahanna Visitor Center and Ohio Herb Center Gift Shop, or click here to download and print your own.

BASSET FEST - 9/30

Are you a dog-lover? The Ohio Basset Hound Rescue will be hosting a Basset Fest in Gahanna’s Pizzurro Park (940 Pizzuro Park Rd, Gahanna, OH 43230) from 11 AM - 3 PM! The event consists of raffle baskets, auctions, a costume contest, biggest paw and longest ear contests, calendar and T-shirt sales and Basset races.

KID ENTREPENEUR POP-UP SHOW @ THE FIVE - 9/30

Join The Five for a day of fun, games and excitement while you shop with some amazing kid entrepreneurs! This year all registered kid vendors will have the option to pitch their products to The Five's special guest judges for a chance to win prizes! 12-2 PM. 5316 N Hamilton Rd.

CAMPFIRE AT THE PARK - WEDNESDAYS IN OCTOBER

Gahanna Parks & Rec will be setting up camp in select neighborhood parks for s'more fun! They will provide the campfire, s'mores, and supplies for you and your family to enjoy. Bring chairs & your neighbors! Please note restrooms are not available at all locations. This is a free event!

EDISON OKTOBERFEST - 10/6 & 10/7

Edison Brewing Company will be hosting a two day Oktoberfest at their brewery on Friday, October 6 & Saturday, October 7. Try craft beers and enjoy the scenic views, perfect for a fall celebration! Fall-festive drinks & food will be available, a market & live music.

SPOOKY SHUFFLE 5K FUN RUN - 10/21

The Spooky Shuffle is a family friendly 5K run/walk on the Saturday morning of Halloween Weekend in Gahanna at Creekside. A Monster Mash Dash for kids 10 and younger will occur shortly before the 5K. Awards for the top 3 places in each age category will be given. For those who are more interested in the spirit of Halloween, awards will also be given in multiple costume categories. Each participant will receive a Spooky Shuffle shirt and post-race refreshments. The event starts at 8 AM. 

 

Gahanna Community Chorus, a 501 c3 organization, is hosting the race to support their continued operation as well as provide a community event for all ages.

 

 

PAWS FOR HALLOWEEN @ NTH DEGREE - 10/21

Nth Degree will be hosting a family & pet friendly event to celebrate Halloween on Saturday, October 21 from 10AM-2PM! They will be having a Costume Contest with photos, Pet Supply Drive, snacks for pets and humans alike, and CMA will be here for Adopt-a-Pet. In addition, the vendors who have confirmed that they will be here are: Boujeee Dog Bites, Healthy Pup Stuff, Pet Wants Columbus, Doggish, Wags Swag, Furball Pet Fitness, Whispering Pine K9 Ranch Dog Training.

THE GREAT GAHANNA GOBLIN FEST - 10/27

Presented by KEMBA Financial Credit Union. 

Calling all goblins and ghouls, we invite you to join us for our Halloween celebration! This event includes a trick-or-treat trail, live entertainment, a hayride, and fun surprises! Get ready to have a spooktactular time. Registration for parking at Academy Park opens Sept. 18. For more information, visit Gahanna.gov. The event is free but on-site parking is $5. Registration required

 

 

OHIO HERB CENTER CLASSES

Learn how to use herbs in your daily lives by taking a class at the Ohio Herb Center. Located in the heart of Gahanna, the Ohio Herb Center offers a variety of classes - ranging from Tea Blending and DIY Herbal Cosmetics to Thrifty Herbal Homecare. Register for a class this fall & be prepped for the upcoming cooler seasons!
