The most magical time of the year is almost here—and in Gahanna, we know how to make the season shine! From the twinkle of lights along Creekside to the jingle of running shoes at the annual Santa Race, there are plenty of ways to celebrate the holidays with family, friends, and neighbors.
Holiday Lights Celebration — November 23
Kick off the holiday season at Gahanna’s beloved Holiday Lights Celebration on Sunday, November 23, in the heart of Creekside. This FREE family-friendly evening will feature dazzling light displays, live entertainment, holiday treats, and a visit from Santa himself! Enjoy festive activities, support local vendors, and take in the sights and sounds of a community aglow with holiday spirit.

Santa Race 5K & Little Reindeer Dash — December 6
Lace up your running shoes (and maybe your Santa hat!) for one of Gahanna’s favorite holiday traditions — the Santa Race 5K & Little Reindeer Dash on Saturday, December 6. This festive morning run through beautiful Academy Park is perfect for seasoned runners, non-runners and holiday-lovers alike. Participants are encouraged to dress in their most spirited Santa gear—because who doesn’t love a good festive-photo opp? There will be coffee & a breakfast food truck there as well.
