Visit Gahanna team here! 2024 wouldn't have been possible without the great Gahanna community partners, businesses, non-profits & volunteers that helped us here at Visit Gahanna & the Ohio Herb Center. Special thanks to our visitors (& residents alike) who attended one or more of our premier events & supported a local business along the way. Below are some highlights as we reflect on this great year. Here is to another great one in 2025!
25th Anniversary of the Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival
Our beloved music festival turned 25 YEARS OLD! HARD TO BELIEVE. We got to see this festival grow even more with the addition of our title sponsor (the first of its kind) -- thanks to our friends at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
Holiday Lights Celebration
The Holiday Lights Celebration happened this past month & it is always so inspiring for us to put this event on! So many people from the Gahanna community come together to spread joy to others & we feel so lucky to host this celebration. We brought new ideas to life with the addition of the holiday market!
Huntertones headlining the Jazz Stage at #CBJF2024
Can we talk about how good the Huntertones set was on Friday night at the Jazz Stage this past June? We were really excited to have some Central Ohio musicians who have taken their talents INTERNATIONALLY! To see the amount of success they have been having is amazing & they are more than deserving of it. Thanks for crushing it, HT crew -- you made a lot of festival attendees happy!
#CBJF2024 Volunteer Picnic
It's special when you have a community that cares about your work AND the Gahanna CARES! Thank you to the festival volunteers that enjoyed a cookout with us this past July to celebrate our work together. Missing the warm sun & grilling out right about now...
Herb Day Plant Sale
May is a special month for many reasons in the Ohio Herb Capital. We celebrate Herb Day on that first Saturday & we also run our Herb n' Restaurant Week specials with local restaurants. Our amazing Herb Coordinators are passionate about this plant sale & the hard work payed off this year. Many residents & guests got to take home plants for their own gardens at home. Already can't wait til 2025...
Visit Gahanna Annual Meeting in March
Our Annual Meeting this year was a luncheon with many community partners, music from Blue Spectrum and speaker Amir Eylon! It serves as an opportunity to celebrate our successes as a non-profit & look towards the future. This photo is a favorite because of the jazz hats we placed on the tables. Some might say 'It is never too early to promote some blues & jazz in Gahanna.'
Partnering w/ SGT Coffee Co. for our Pelotonia Station
One of many great additions to Gahanna this year was the coffee trailer -- SGT Coffee Co. They will be opening a storefront this upcoming year & we are such fans of the coffee and the people behind the brand. They joined us on the morning of Pelotonia to pass out coffee for our cheering station with Make Gahanna Yours!
Gahanna turned 175!
The City of Gahanna & their Parks & Recreation team did such a great job in celebrating the birthday of Gahanna! In August, Gahanna had a drone show (another first of its kind) in Creekside & even an old-fashioned baseball game at Jefferson Elementary. Unique experiences and family-friendly events have always been a staple to Gahanna & will continue to be in 2025.
