Top 5 Reasons to Visit Gahanna This Summer

Posted on Monday, August 1, 2022 by Visit Gahanna.

There’s no place like Gahanna, the Herb Capital of Ohio. The city’s convenient location is just east of Columbus, five minutes from Columbus International Airport, and close to Central Ohio’s most popular attractions. As we enter the heart of summertime, make sure Gahanna is on your list of places to visit in Central Ohio.

1. Breweries and Distilleries

Did you know Gahanna is home to three breweries and two distilleries? Edison Brewing Company, Heart State Brewing Company, and Nostalgia Brewing Company are members of the Ohio Craft Brewers Association and are participants of Visit Gahanna’s Herbal Cocktail Trail. Noble Cut Distillery and High Bank Distillery Co. offer award-winning craft spirits here in Gahanna. Read more about each establishment below and start your plan to visit them all!

Edison Brewing Company sits on top of the peak next to the airport giving us a jaw-dropping view of downtown Columbus and a free air show every day! They specialize in German-style lagers.

After conjuring up creative brews as hobos all over the land, Heart State Brewing took its talents to Central Ohio. They brew many different styles: some hearty, some light-hearted, some flagships, some seasonals, some true-to-style, and some rule-bending.

The essence of Nostalgia Brewing is the beer that starts a conversation. Their space brings you back to an enjoyable time, and their beer keeps you having one. Enjoy a flight on their four-seasons covered patio or in the open air under a shade umbrella.

Noble Cut Distillery derives its name from a process in distilling grains where a distiller makes “cuts” to separate unwanted alcohol from the final batch. The heart cut, also called the Noble Cut, is the most desired cut by distillers. Tony, Founder and Head Distiller at Noble Cut Distillery, finds his passion and energy stem from sharing his craft with friends and family. Book a tour Book a tour today!

Creekside LIVE is back at Creekside Park & Plaza this summer. Enjoy a Friday night in Gahanna’s picturesque downtown with family and friends while jamming out with local performers. Live music can be found throughout the plaza from 5-10 PM on the second and fourth Fridays throughout the summer. This event is also within the CORA bounds.
